We keep things simple at O.K. Ice Cream. Every item on our menu starts with all-natural ice cream from Quintin's, a Louisiana maker that has been doing this since 1998. No artificial flavors, no artificial colors, no gums or fillers. Just real ingredients that taste the way ice cream is supposed to taste. Here's what we serve.
This is the foundation of everything we do. Pick your flavor, and we'll scoop it into a cup or a waffle cone. A half scoop is $3.50, a single scoop is $6.99, and an artisanal cone upgrade is +$2.50. We rotate our flavors regularly, so there's always something new alongside the staples. You might find Polly Praline and Cafe Au Lait next to something like Bread Pudding Rum Ripple or London Fog. Screamers are our ice cream sandwiches, and they're probably the thing we're most known for. Each one is $7.99 and built to order with your choice of ice cream flavor. You pick one of three options: the Cookie Screamer with thick chocolate chip cookies, the Brownie Screamer with a fresh-baked brownie, or the Cake Screamer with soft sponge cake. We make them right when you order, so everything is fresh and the ice cream hasn't had time to melt into the bread. People walk out the door with one, make it about half a block down Decatur, and come back for another. That happens more than you'd think.
Our milkshakes are $12.99 and hand-spun with any flavor in the case. They come out thick, the way a milkshake should, where you actually have to work the straw a little. Pick your favorite scoop flavor and we'll turn it into a shake. Want to add toppings? Just ask. A milkshake with Polly Praline or Cookies and Cream is a good place to start if you're not sure what to get.
This one is for the coffee lovers. We blend cold brew with Quintin's coffee ice cream for a frozen coffee that's $12.99 and actually tastes like real coffee, not sugar syrup with a hint of caffeine. It's cold, creamy, and genuinely refreshing, which matters a lot when it's ninety-five degrees and humid in the Quarter. If you need a pick-me-up that doubles as dessert, this is it.

All of our ice cream comes from Quintin's, a New Orleans-area maker that uses all-natural ingredients. That means real cream, real sugar, real fruit, and real flavors. No artificial anything. We feel strongly about this because you can actually taste the difference, and once you've had ice cream made with real ingredients, it's hard to go back.
Our flavors rotate, so the lineup changes regularly. We always have a solid mix of classic and creative options, and we keep dairy-free sorbets available for anyone who needs them. We're at 1129 Decatur Street in the French Quarter, open every day except Wednesday. You can also order delivery through Uber Eats or Postmates if you'd rather stay where you are.
