Every scoop at O.K. Ice Cream comes from Quintin's, a New Orleans company that has been making ice cream since 1998. They're local, they're small-batch, and they've been at it long enough to know what they're doing.

What's In Our Ice Cream

The ingredients are straightforward. Real milk, cream, cane sugar, real vanilla beans, real fruit, real cocoa, and natural colors. When you read the label, you recognize everything on it.

What's not in it: no artificial flavors, no artificial colors, no preservatives, no high-fructose corn syrup. Take the Cookie Monster flavor, for example. It gets its bright blue color from natural coloring, not food dye. Same vibrant look, none of the synthetic stuff.

Why It Tastes Better

Real vanilla has a warmth and complexity that vanillin, the synthetic compound in most commercial ice cream, just doesn't have. Real strawberries taste like strawberries, not like whatever chemists decided strawberry should taste like. Real cocoa has depth. When you skip the shortcuts, the actual ingredients get to do their job. You can taste the difference, and most people notice it without being told. It's not about being snobby.
